Pamela "Pam" Richards Clark Cleverly

Pamela Richards Clark Cleverly, 83, of Noblesville, IN, passed from this life on July 10, 2026. She was born on September 2, 1942 to Harry and Doris Richards. Pam attended Collett Grade School, Danville High School, and Danville Area Community College. In her early twenties, she worked as a hairdresser but gave it up to raise her children. For several years she worked with her former husband in his construction business. Pam relocated to the Indianapolis area in 1989. She attended numerous foreign banking and international shipping schools and worked for many years as an Ocean Export Agent. She retired in 2008 and became a dedicated volunteer for The Cancer Support Community to honor them for their support during her battle with lung cancer. Pam belonged to the “Angel Bakers” where she baked and shipped monthly treats to the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan for several years. She was awarded a special citation from the U.S. Army for her support of the soldiers stationed overseas. Pam also worked part-time for an event company giving cooking and food demonstrations at area stores. She was an avid reader, baker, gardener and rug hooker. She was also a member and past president of the Puckihuddlers, Rug Hookers as well as a member of The Association of Traditional Hooking Artists. Pam was a frequent joke teller and loved to make people laugh! Pam was known among her friends as “the crazy cat lady”, because she rescued and fed so many stray cats. She was very proud of the little house she had built in her backyard that was heated during the cold months so all the cats she looked after could be warm. Pam was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; and her sister, Linda Sharer. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Ken Cleverly. She is also survived by her daughters, Jodi (Cameron) Madaj of Danville, Indiana and Staci Clark of San Antonio, Texas; and son, Butch (Towner Jr.) (Melissa) Clark of Danville, Illinois. She leaves behind her much loved sisters and brother, Debbie Clement, Cris Hershberger, and Ed Richards. Pam is also survived by her awesome grandchildren, Sarah Madaj Van Dyk, Mike Madaj, Candice Alms, Chris Clark and Sam Clark; as well as eight extra special great-grandchildren. She loved and was quite proud of the grandchildren she inherited when she remarried, Ashley, Alex, and Andy Cleverly and Tyler and Eric Kennison. She is also survived by several very special nieces and nephews and the father of her children. Pam will be missed by her many wonderful friends, especially the YaYa Sisters and the River Rats. Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road, Fishers, IN 46038. Pam will be buried privately, along with the urns of her precious fur babies at Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of one of Pam’s passions, donations to the Hamilton County Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
