Carril May Lindsay-Davis

Carril May Lindsay-Davis, 63, of Indianapolis, went on to be with the Lord November 22, 2020. Carril was born April 10, 1957 in St. Thomas, Jamaica, West Indies to the late Mercie Silvera and Horace Lindsay still residing in Ottawa, Canada. Carril was quite the traveler: She spent part of her pre-teen years growing up in the parishes of St. Thomas and St. Ann, Jamaica. She attended the Morant Bay High School in St. Thomas and successfully completed her high school diploma. Carril then resided in the capital city, Kingston, where she received her new birth Christian experience. She was filled with the Holy Spirit and baptized in Jesus name at Pentecostal Tabernacle, Wildman Street, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Samuel Stewart. Carril later migrated to the United States and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting at the Long Island University. While in New York she worked for New York Life Insurance Company and was a member of the United Apostolic Tabernacle, pastored by Rev. Michael Edwards. Carril later transitioned to Indianapolis in 2003, where she lived with her husband, Richard Davis, and was a member of Calvary Tabernacle and later a member of Point of Hope Apostolic Church until the time of passing. Visitation will be Thursday, December 3, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel at 3333 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis, IN 46227 and on Friday, December 4, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Point of Hope Church, 5150 Shelbyville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237. Carril is preceded in death by her mother, Mercie Silvera; and her daughter, Michelle Nairn. She is survived by her father, Horace Lindsay; husband, Richard Davis; brothers, Horatio Lindsay (Patricia), Dwight Lindsay (Diane), Colin Silvera and Michael Lindsay; sisters, Jackie Lindsay-Brown (Richard), Marlene Lindsay and Sharon Lindsay-Coard (Gordon); 17 nieces and nephews. A Carril Lindsay-Davis Memorial Fund has been established. Carril was passionate about global missions. Donations made to this fund will be used to support our missionaries overseas in her honor.
