Thomas A. Robinson, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away March 7, 2021. He was born October 21, 1932 to the late Arthur Vance and Olive Mary Robinson. Tom was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War, and married Sarah Babrick in 1955. Tom finished his career with General Steel as a draftsman, retiring as Vice President in 2013. He was a member of Eastgate Christian Church for over 60 years. Tom was an avid Indiana sports fan and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, March 12, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. Tom is survived by his children, Robin Harrison (Nick), Sandra Fielder (Greg) and Thomas Robinson, Jr. (Sherry); grandchildren, Casey Ford (Paul), Nick Harrison (Stacey), Rachel Hartzell (Roger) and Kathryn Grady (Brad); and eight great-grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Sarah Robinson; sisters, Ruth Harriett Christian and Helen Sue Fretz; brother, James A. Robinson; and niece, Carol Anne Fretz Wright.
