Scott Richard Perkins

April 23, 1954 - June 16, 2022

Scott Richard Perkins, Scott R. Perkins has taken the hand of Jesus and gone to heaven where he will be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ forever. Scott was promoted to heaven on June 16, 2022 with his sister and brother-in-law at his side. He was born April 23, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois to Richard E. and Ruth Gladys (Shively) Perkins. Scott was a graduate of West Essex High School, North Caldwell, New Jersey and received an associate degree in Theology. He was a former member of Life Center Church, South Bend, Indiana, and a current member of ITOWN Church. Scott enjoyed playing in his Euchre Club, bowling, gardening, camping, amusement parks, following current events, studying the weather and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. He dearly loved his family and thoroughly enjoyed being with them for birthdays and holidays. He was always thinking of them. We will miss Scott greatly. God will cover the hole in each heart, writing on it, “Be at peace, He is with Me.” Visitation will be Monday, June 27, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road, Fishers, coinciding with the visitation and service of his beloved mother, Ruth Shively Perkins. Burial will take place for Ruth and Scott, Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, 1415 North Main Street, Mishawaka, IN. Scott is survived by his sister, Ellen P. Warren (Gary); niece, Laura Warren Kahle (Timothy) and their children, Grace, Gibson and Ethan; nephews, Glen D. Warren (Kat Saberon) and Luke R. Warren (Kelley); and niece, Julie Warren Wadlington (Cameron). Scott’s mother, Ruth Shively Perkins, recently passed away June 22, 2022. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and/or the American Cancer Society.
