Roger Fredrick Joseph Cordi

Roger Cordi, 30, of Indianapolis passed away Friday, May 13, 2022. He was born July 31, 1991, in Indianapolis to Susie (Lyons) Cordi and Craig R. Cordi. Roger was a beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Roger had a huge heart and never met a stranger. His smile and laughter would light up a room. He attended Warren Township Schools and graduated from Irvington Preparatory School in 2010. He attended classes at Trine University where he played Lacrosse. In 2006 Roger was part of the Warren Central Football State Championship Team and Warren Freshman Basketball State Championship Team. Roger played AAU and School Basketball for Irvington Preparatory School. Roger followed his father in his career and worked in the utility construction field. He worked as an Equipment Operator for FOSO Construction. Roger loved to garden, play and watch sports. He loved his Tennessee Titans, UConn Huskies, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 East Washington Street, with funeral services there Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Roger is survived by his parents Craig and Susie Cordi, his beloved dog Bella, Aunt Julie Lyons of Indianapolis, Uncle Gerard (Diane) Cordi of Shelton, CT, Debe (James) Randolph of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Cousins Evan Lyons of Indianapolis, Alicia Randolph of Asheville, NC, Michael Cordi of Shelton, CT and Jaclyn Cordi of Boston, MA. He also leaves behind his girlfriend Red Simpson, special friends, Devin, Matt, Cody and Marty. Roger was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roger & Selma Lyons, Lois & Dominic Mangine, Joseph Cordi and his best friend, Randy Smiley.
