Robert "Bob" P. Sheets

August 6, 1938 - January 29, 2022

Robert P. “Bob” Sheets, 83, a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, passed away January 29, 2022. He was born August 6, 1938 to the late Paul James and Marie Briggs Sheets. Bob was a 1956 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. He married Sally A. Demaree, May 1, 1960, and she preceded him in death August 5, 2010. Bob was employed with Permanent Magnet for 37 years, retiring as a Supervisor in 2007. He attended Rawles Avenue Church of God. Bob loved spending time with family and was an avid bowler in two leagues at All Star Bowl. Visitation will be Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., with funeral services there Monday at 12 noon. Bob is survived by his loving children, Julie A. Carothers (Earl), Kimberly J. Alexander (Bill), Angela S. Sheets (Gayle Beaver) and Robert W. Sheets; brother, Jack Sheets; sister-in-law, Susan J. Lyons; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and his devoted fur babies, Simon & Cooper. A sister, Phyllis Smith, preceded him in death. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
