    Raymond Edward Szkotak

    August 28, 1955 - April 23, 2022

    Raymond Szkotak, 66, of Fishers Indiana passed away Saturday on April 23, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born in Syracuse New York to Andrew and Theresa Szkotak; the second of six children. He married the love of his life, his wife Donna. They were married for 33 years and together raised their beautiful daughter Jessica. Ray graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in 1973 and received an engineering degree from Clarkson University, Potsdam, New York in 1977. He worked for 26 years as a Systems Engineer in Naval Avionics for Raytheon Technologies Research Center. One project he worked on for many years was the V-22 Osprey. Ray had a tremendous love for his Heavenly Father, family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. Some of his many talents included carpentry, building things with his hands, playing guitar and singing. He was a New York Giants fanatic. He was very active with Christian Family Fellowship and Indiana Bible Fellowship. Ray and his wife Donna opened their home for many years for bible fellowships. Ray’s Christian faith was uplifting to everyone he met, and he enjoyed the times of fellowship with his Saturday men’s group. For many years he published monthly bible teachings to many of his followers. He was truly a man after God’s own heart. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Theresa Szkotak. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Szkotak and his daughter Jessica Szkotak, siblings Andy Szkotak, Gina (John) Mills, Jimmy (Cheryl) Szkotak, Matt (Leslie) Szkotak and Diane (Jim) Lloyd. Visitation will be Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m with service immediately following at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road, Fishers. For those unable to attend the service will be live-streamed by clicking on the following link: https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/3807693011 Memorial contributions may be made to IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center. P.O. Box 7072, Indianapolis, IN 46207. Checks can be made payable to IU Simon Cancer Center. These donations will go directly to new studies for pancreatic cancer.
