Phyllis Wade Beltz

April 28, 1934 - December 6, 2021

Phyllis Wade Beltz, 87, went to be with the Lord, December 6, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, born on April 28, 1934. Phyllis attended Grade School #41 and graduated from Shortridge High School in 1952. She later took classes at Butler University. Phyllis was affiliated with the Precept Ministries of Chattanooga, TN, from 1981 until her death. She was instrumental in bringing Precept Bible Studies to Indiana, and she was also a Precept Workshop Trainer. Phyllis was a member of Northview Christian Church in Carmel, IN. Visitation will be Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 12 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Helen Wade; her husband, Gene Beltz; and her grandson, Christopher whose tragic death prompted her to write a book titled “Born for Heaven”. She is survived by her son, Kevin Beltz Sr. (Cindy); daughter, Brenda Beltz; granddaughters, Christen and Hannah Beltz; grandsons, Kevin E. (Julia) and Kyle J. (Erin); and four great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Ryker, Blake and Daniel. She was known to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Sugarbabe”. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.
