Max B. Wilson, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away January 11, 2021. He was born February 6, 1938 in Indianapolis to the late Earl M. and Henrietta C. Wilson. Max was the owner and operator of Wilson Construction for over 50 years, 20 years of which were in partnership with his son, Tim, retiring in 2005. He was the neighborhood icon and everybody’s “Uncle Max”. Visitation will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 East Washington Street. Max is survived by his children, Timothy B. Wilson (Kathy), Cheryl L. Lehr (Ron), Jeffrey A. Wilson (Jennifer) and Charlene A. Lee (Gary Womer); grandchildren, Marcus B. Wilson (Courtney), Amy R. Bradley (Wayne), James R. Lehr (Melissa), Michelle K. Green (Milburn), Hannah N. Leto (Charles), Emma Gorski (Tom) and Brooke Wilson; sister, Marjorie Jewell; brother, David Wilson (Frances); 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl “Toots” Wilson, Robert Wilson, Daniel Wilson, James Wilson and Harold Wilson; and sisters, Madonna Rough, Holly Boys and Martha Swisher.
