Martha Ann Bowling

April 17, 1931 - April 5, 2022

Martha Ann Bowling, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 5, 2022. She was born in Indianapolis, April 17, 1931 to the late Leo F. and Frances (Swanwick) Clouser. She was a graduate of St. Agnes High School and attended Butler University. Martha married Charles C. Bowling in 1953. Martha was the General Manager/Accountant for the Ramada Inn in Richmond, Indiana for 10 years, and an accountant for American Wholesale, retiring after 25 years of service. She was a former member of St. Simon Catholic Church. Martha had a great passion for her children. Her hobbies included flipping houses and real estate, going on trips with her sister and brother, trips to the casino, boating, and trips to the lake with her kids. Most of all, Martha treasures the holiday gatherings with family. Visitation will be Tuesday April 12, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 East Washington Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday April 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E 10th Street Indianapolis. Martha is survived by her daughters, Becky Farmer (Larry), Karen Harber and Marie Davis, grandchildren, Amber DeMott, Arielle Saxton, Michael Davis (Kim), Matt Davis (Megan) and Will Chastain.; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Suiters and Trudy McMasters (David); and brother; Leo Clouser Jr. Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Bowling; her son, Bill Bowling; her granddaughter, Melissa DeMott:, her sisters, Mary Mahin and Rosie Safranek; and her mother- in- law, Gladys Bowling. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Wheeler Mission Ministries.
