Kevin Jay Brewer, 68, passed away May 14, 2022. He was born March 9, 1954 in Indianapolis to the late Kenneth J. and Opal Brewer. Kevin was a 1972 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School and received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rose Hulman Technical Institute in 1976. Kevin was a software engineer for several companies in the automotive industry. Kevin was a Boy Scout and a member of Linwood Christian Church. He enjoyed everything about computer technology, was a loyal Tech High School fan and served on the Alumni Board. He also enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 12 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. Kevin is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty Jo Brewer; and children, Elizabeth Brewer, Kevin Brewer II and Joanna Maynard (Jonathan). He was preceded in death by his siblings, Gloria Brewer and Lyle (Carole) Brewer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Linwood Christian Church.
