Janet Lee Drummond Welch

Janet Lee Drummond Welch, 67, passed away April 6, 2022. She was born June 12, 1954 in Highland Park, MI, to the late William O. and Sally Drummond. Janet received her Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) at Indiana State University and her Masters (MSN) and Doctoral (PhD) degrees in Nursing from Indiana University. She married Thomas A. Welch, July 2, 1977, and was a nurse and tenured professor at I.U. School of Nursing for many years. Janet was granted Professor Emerita status with Indiana School of Nursing when she retired. She was a member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. Janet enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. Janet is survived by her loving husband of nearly 45 years, Thomas A. Welch; daughters, Jennifer L. Welch and Melinda A. Welch; grandchildren, Shawn and Laci Wilburn, and Karter and Junuh Wilson; and siblings, David Drummond (Pam), Thomas Drummond (Tammy), Linda Reuther, and Donald Drummond.
