Gloria M. Tabak

Gloria M. Tabak, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away March 22, 2018 after a long, brave battle with cancer. She was born on June 15, 1956 in Pittsburgh, PA, to George and Lorraine (Adams) Conley. Gloria lived a full life surrounded by family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and a loyal friend. She always put the wellbeing and happiness of others above her own. She grew up in Pittsburgh and graduated from Hampton High School. She worked as a title and loan closer for 18 years in Indianapolis, and started her own closing services company before she had to set that job aside to fight her pancreatic cancer battle. She was devoted to raising and caring for her children, a vocation she pursued until the end. She and Ron loved spending their free time traveling, and were happiest when in each other's company. They were certainly a team, and this was especially evident during the last several years of her life. Nothing brought her greater joy than her grandchildren. They gave her the unparalleled strength and spirit to keep going, especially during the trying times. Gloria attended St. Simon Catholic Church. After her children graduated high school, she was a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters. She was also a member of Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and her Go-For-Glori-a fundraising team placed in the top three for several years in a row, which is a testament to the immense support she had from friends and family, and to how much she meant to so many people. Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Ron Tabak; her son, Tyler McCreary (Ashley); her daughter, Kristin Eichel (Zachary); her son, Travis Tabak (Amy); her mother, Lorraine Conley Kelly; her brothers: George Conley Jr., Michael Conley; her sisters: Lorraine Kelly (Dan); Bernadette Weingartner (Michael), Joyce Schaefer (Mark), Carol Flock (Tim); her sister-in-law: Barb Burris (Dennis); her grandchildren: Olivia Tabak, Kaliway Tabak, Margaret Eichel, Bridget Eichel, Charlie McCreary, Ethan Edwards, and Kyle Edwards; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, George Conley Sr. She is also survived by her loving caregiver, Henrietta Pierson.
