Donald Lee Lewis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald Lee Lewis, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away June 21, 2022. He was born September 2, 1928 in Austin, Indiana to the late Robert Morris and Lucy Ann Lewis. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War and then with the Air Force Reserves. He received his bachelor's degree in Electronics from Purdue University, and married Patricia Gensler, who preceded him in death March 16, 2016. Don was a planner and estimator for Naval Avionics for 32 years, retiring in 1983. He was a longtime member of St. Jude Catholic Church and American Legion Post #391, Fortville. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 12 noon at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, with visitation there from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Don is survived by his children, Pamela Price, Donna Faraci (Michael), Jeffrey Lewis (Sloan) and Gregory Lewis; six grandsons, Ryan Price, Derek Price, Jack Faraci, Kevin Faraci, Caleb Lewis and Noah Lewis; and three great-grandchildren, Paige, Samuel and Abigail Price. Don was preceded in death by his brother, Robert E. Lewis; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Lewis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans and/or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Final arrangements and care are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel.
