    Deronda Bird Page

    January 7, 1922 - January 16, 2022

    Deronda Bird Page, 100, of Indianapolis, passed away January 16, 2022. She was born January 7, 1922 in Senath, Missouri to the late Euther Carroll and Gertrude O’Connor Bird. Deronda married Russell W. Page, and in 2004, he preceded her in death. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a longtime member and director three choirs at Grace United Methodist Church. Deronda graduated from Central College, Fayette, MO, worked in the White House under President Harry S. Truman, and taught music at St. Simon School in Indianapolis. She was a substitute teacher at Howe High School for several years, and sang in the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale Chorale. Deronda is survived by her daughters, Carol Ann Madison and Denise Page Caraher; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held in Senath Cemetery, Senath, MO. Final arrangements and care are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel.
