Dennis "Red" Lewis White

82, of Indianapolis, passed away January 13, 2022, leaving behind his beloved wife Sandra and daughters, Denise and Kimberly. He was born February 7, 1939, to the late Lewis and Kathryn (Ellett) White. Dennis graduated from Franklin Central High School and went on to serve in the U.S Army. He was proud of his service and enlisted as a Reservist on September 1, 1961. Dennis was a Union Carpet Layer for 53 years. His favorite joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and family. He also loved drag racing and working on cars. Dennis never met a stranger. He always loved to make people laugh, tell stories, and always gave great hugs. Visitation will be Monday, January 17, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Dennis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra; daughters, Kim Lyke (James) and Denise Monday; grandchildren, Richard Branch (Michelle), Zachary Branch, Danielle Lazeski (Phil), Andrew Monday and Matthew Monday; great grandchildren, Landon, Alexandria, Jorden, Liam, Piper, Rowan, and Jackson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Kathryn White; aunt, Lois Easton, and uncle, Fred Easton.
