Tara Lee Good

Tara Lee Good, 59, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Greenwood Village South (GVS). Tara was born on February 3, 1962 to James B. Good and Donna (Gilpin) Ralston. She was the oldest of three children, including her sister, Maria, and her brother, Jason. As the oldest child, she was a natural-born leader exhibiting strength and toughness. Tara was always strong-willed and determined. She was a 1980 graduate of Beech Grove High School. She played clarinet in the band, and she also could play the piano. She played classic piano pieces with great skill and ease. She was very artistic and creative: she loved paint and makeup. (Bob Ross was among her favorites.) Beyond high school, Tara earned an Associate Degree in Accounting and then worked for Ameritech in Sales for many years. When she wasn’t working, Tara enjoyed spending time with her son, Tony. In fact, her favorite time spent was with him. They enjoyed watching action shows and Disney movies as well as eating their favorite foods together. Tara loved to cook and bake; she had hand-written recipes and shared them with family and friends. On occasion, she even showed others how to make her recipes, such as pumpkin roll. A lot of her family members still enjoy her pumpkin roll recipe today. Tara always had a lot of spunk. She will always be remembered for her hilarious sarcasm and quick-wit. Tara always seemed to be so fearless and wasn’t bothered by the opinions of others. Tara loved to joke with people; she loved to laugh and poke fun. Even after her life-changing tragedy committed her to her bed for more than two decades, Tara could still laugh and joke. Her spirit is strong. Tara had endurance that is unmatched by most people. Life was difficult and painful for Tara, and yet she persevered. Despite all of the things that could make anyone bitter, Tara was not. Tara adapted, and she overcame numerous obstacles. Tara was able to appreciate the small things such as watching the birds and squirrels play outside her window. She enjoyed the puzzle room at the nursing home, where she admired the aquarium and all the finished puzzles. Listening to the Marshall Band at GVS was her very favorite. She also loved to listen to Barry Manilow and watch “The Golden Girls.” Those that love her will remember her whenever they hear her favorite songs or see her favorite shows. Tara was preceded in death by her mother, Donna (Gilpin) Ralston. Tara is survived by her father, James B. Good (Peggy). She leaves behind her son, Tony Albers, her sister, Maria Cahill (Edward), her brother, Jason Good. Tara was an aunt to Dharma, Jordan, and Adam Good, Dana (Michael) Hedrick, Eric Cahill, Kirk (Michelle) Cahill, Natalie (Theo) Riddick, Evan Cahill, Becky Cahill, and Scott Cahill. Visitation will be Friday, February 19, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 East Thompson Road.
