Mark A. Sullivan

Mark Andrew Sullivan 55 years, died on December 18, 2021. He was a true warrior for three and one half years enduring lung and liver cancer. He is the third child of five. His parents are Lawrence Sullivan (deceased) and Judith (Griggs) Sullivan. His siblings are Michael Sullivan (Mary), Amy Bonte (Ty), John Sullivan (Stacey) and Bonny Rouleau-McCabe (Stephen). He is beloved by his children, Mark Sullivan and Holly Sullivan (Scott) along with grandchildren, Owen, Princeton and Tinslie. Three nieces are Claire Bonte, Lydia Bonte and Addison Rouleau. One nephew Finnegan McCabe. Mark graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes school and Scecina Memorial High School. He excelled in wrestling and track during high school. He qualified for apprenticeship training in Powerhouse Engineering at Allison Gas Turbine (subsequently Rolls Royce). He was a local employee for thirty years. A member of the local UAW. He earned the respect of his fellow workers as a meticulous engineer who assisted in the training of apprentices and support to his cohorts. The safety of his operations was tantamount to follow OSHA guidelines. His expertise in computer science enabled him to assist in the development of computerization of the operation at Plant 5. His interests were in guitar, car mechanics, computer repair, and fishing. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers, Irving Hill Chapel, 5377 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, 1347 North Meridian St, Indianapolis, with visitation there one hour prior. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 38th St., Indianapolis. A luncheon will follow interment at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church rectory, adjacent to the church.
