John Jack Duffin

John Joseph Duffin,March 27, 1930~November 27, 2008John A.K.A. Jack passed away at home on Thursday, November 27, 2008 after battling a long term with cancer. With many loved ones at his side, his spirit passed into the hands of the Sacred Heart at the age of 78. Jack was a great inspiration to all who knew him. He was happiest when family surrounded him. Jack loved working, traveling, gardening, cooking, and his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he has plenty. Jack also took in many teenagers who were less fortunate. Jack owned and operated several businesses in his lifetime, including Duffin�s Citgo Gas Station, Duffin�s RV Center, and worked at Indpls. R.V. Tech, helping his son Paul operate the business until one year ago. Jack was also a member of the 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus. Jack�s wife, Colletta Duffin preceded him in death along with his brother, Tom, one son, Joe, as well as his mother and father, Mary and John Ambrose Duffin and two grandsons, a great-granddaughter, one niece and one brother-in-law, Gene, and a special friend, Dora. Jack�s ex-wife, Kathleen still survives. Those of us left behind will greatly miss his smiles and warmth. Jack has one son left at home, William (Billy), one of his pride and joys!!! Jack�s children include Barb, Mary Alice, Linda Lee, Kelly, Beth, Diane, Paul, Mike, Tim, Jeff, Colletta, Victoria, Ashley, Tim, Ryan, Chris, Anthony, Jeffrey & Jon. Along with John, Mark, Linda, Maureen & Carlene. Along with all their husbands and wives. Jack has one brother, Jim (RE) Duffin; three sisters, Pat (Dick) Townsend, Joan (Jim) Long, and Mary Jane Arbuckle. Also included in his family are many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. John�s visitation will be at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd., Monday, December 1, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1827 Kessler Boulevard E. Drive, with burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Following services a gathering will take place at John (Jack�s) home. The family wishes to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers.
