Cory John Kazmierczak, April 12, 1969 – June 12, 2026 Cory John Kazmierczak, 57, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on June 12, 2026. Cory was born April 12, 1969 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of John Joseph Kazmierczak and Joyce Carol (Ziemann) Kazmierczak. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol (Filliman) Kazmierczak; his sister, Dawn (Kazmierczak) Mitchell and her husband, Randy; and his brother-in-law, Paul Filliman, and his wife, Lisa Filliman. He will also be remembered by extended family members, dear friends, colleagues, and all whose lives he touched and were fortunate enough to know him. Cory graduated from Noblesville High School in Noblesville, Indiana in 1987 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering. He married Carol Filliman on May 3, 1997 in Westfield, Indiana, with clergy officiating. Cory will be remembered as a man of intelligence, humor, generosity, and deep loyalty to the people he loved. He had a quick wit and a gift for making others laugh, often bringing lightness to everyday moments. His family and friends knew him as someone who genuinely cared about others and was always willing to lend a hand when help was needed. An engineer by trade, Cory possessed a remarkable ability to solve problems. He enjoyed tackling challenges and took great satisfaction in finding practical solutions that made life easier for others. Whether helping a friend troubleshoot a difficult problem, assisting a family member with a project, or applying his professional expertise, Cory approached every challenge with determination, creativity, and a desire to be useful. Helping others was not simply something he did – it was an important part of who he was. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Cory cherished the relationships he built throughout his life. He valued time spent with family and friends and found joy in shared experiences, conversations, and laughter. Those closest to him will remember his willingness to step in when someone needed support and his desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those around him. Cory also had a passion for driving his beloved Corvette. He loved the freedom of the open road, the thrill of a great drive, and the simple pleasure of being behind the wheel. His enthusiasm for cars was well known and was one of the many interests that brought him happiness. Though his life ended far too soon, Cory leaves behind memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his intelligence, his sense of humor, his willingness to help others, and the love he shared with family and friends. Cory’s memory will be cherished always by those lives he touched. A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family.
