Charlotte Rebecca White

Charlotte Rebecca White, Passed away peacefully at the age of 85. Her loving husband, Robert, of 65 years and her family were able to be with her in her final days. Charlotte was born on August 27, 1940 in Mankato, Minnesota to the late Rev. James Elmer and Grace Helen (Lingenjo) Ball. Though born in the United States, Charlotte spent much of her childhood and teen years on the mission field in Columbia and Cuba, experiences that shaped her love for Christ and for people. During a furlough visit to the United States in Pontiac, Michigan in her teen years, she met the love of her life, Robert Lee White. Married on July 30, 1960, three children were soon to follow. Charlotte faithfully served as a Sunday School director and found great joy in supporting her husband’s ministry and hearing him sing. Being fluent in Spanish, she was always delighted when she could put her childhood language to good use. She was a creative person finding joy in making life beautiful for those around her through painting, crafting, event planning, cooking and baking. Charlotte was a devoted wife and mother, and she cherished her grandchildren dearly. Known to her family as a night owl, she had a warm sense of humor and played the occasional prank. She loved annual trips to Bass Lake with her family and spending countless summers at church camp. Charlotte led her family with grace, strength, and a selfless heart, living out her faith in quiet, consistent ways. Charlotte’s love for her family and God ran deep and strong. Though she was battling dementia, even into her last days she was known to often ask, “Is there church tonight?” She brought light and laughter wherever she went. She leaves a legacy of love, service, and steadfast faith that will continue in all who knew her. Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert Lee White; children, Tamara R. Webster (Scott), Robert Todd White (Kirsten), and Timothy J. White (Steffani); grandchildren, Ashlee R. Frymier (Dereck), Meghan L. Casebolt, Michael White, Grace White, Madilyn Blue (Nakota), Caleb White (Elizabeth), Sofia McNeill (Jonathan) and Emilie Flipek (Michael); brother, James R. Ball (Sherri); and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, David R. Ball; sister, Ruth E. Ball; and granddaughter, Brittany Webster. Charlotte’s family wish to extend sincere thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. at Southside Apostolic Church, 1716 East Firmin Street, Kokomo, IN 46902.
