Delaney Renee Diggs

Delaney Ren�e Diggs,15, of Noblesville, passed away April 6, 2011. She was born March 13, 1996 in Ann Arbor, MI, to Ren�e A. La Forest and Timothy P. Diggs. Delaney loved all things musical and even had the privilege of recording the song �Love Makes the World� with Legend Carol King at just seven years of age! She was constantly singing, and played a cast member in the 2010 Hamilton South Eastern Junior High Production of �High School Musical�. She was avid in the choir, having been featured in many solos before continuing on to the HSE High School campus where she started this past Fall as a Freshman, continuing to sing until she could no longer attend. Delaney was a bright and beautiful light to all who knew her, as a parishioner of Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church she participated in the Music Ministry and attended religious education classes, recently confirmed, choosing St. Th�r�se of Lisieux, �The Little Flower of Jesus� to be her patron saint and celebrating her 15th birthday with a Quinceanera party held at her church where over 200 were in attendance. A Celebration of Life Catholic Mass will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, with visitation there Monday, April 11, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Delaney Ren�e is survived by mother, Ren�e A. La Forest, sister, Emilie Marie Diggs, brother, Joshua Patrick Diggs; as well as father, Timothy P. Diggs and wife of seven years, Teresa Zamora-Diggs who reside in Grove City, OH; paternal grandparents, Benny Dee and Patricia Ann Diggs of Redford, MI; maternal grandparents, Bernard and Brenda La Forest of Scottsdale, AZ; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Karen & Vince Hill and family of Cleveland, OH; Pam & Tom Nikkila of Royal Oak, MI; Karen Lynn La Forest and husband Eric Kuhn and daughters Kristy La Forest and Bree Kuhn of Middletown, NY; Bernie and Robyn La Forest and family of Wisconsin; Alicia and daughter Morgan La Forest of North Carolina; Matthew La Forest of California; as well as Frank A. Parzynski and Madeline Ren�e La Forest (aka �Peanut�), children of Delaney�s Aunt Linda La Forest of Canton, MI. Madeline was born September 23, 2010 and named in memory and honor of Delaney Ren�e and her mother. Also left behind are members of the beloved group known as �Team Delaney� which includes family, friends, physicians, nurses, teachers, peers, parishioners, and others far and wide who either knew the family and Delaney or followed her story from afar offering prayers of love and support � especially the members of Holy Spirit at Geist and its Choir, mom Ren�e�s team members at Sallie Mae from here in Fishers and across the country, members of the Acor.org Ewing�s Support Group Mailing List, Andy Warren of the Butterflies of America Foundation and last � but not least! � cast members residing in Florida working at Disneyworld theme parks and the Omni Hotel. �A butterfly lights beside us, like a sunbeam�and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world�but then it flies on again, and although we wish it could have stayed, we are so thankful to have seen it at all.� In lieu of flowers, the family is planning to create a living garden in Delaney�s memory, planted to celebrate her own new beginning.
